Continuing Education Credit Opportunities at SIOP 2019

The following continuing education credit opportunities will be available. For those seeking CE credit, you must attend the entire session to receive credit.


CE Credit for PSYCHOLOGY Purposes

Society for Industrial
and Organizational Psychology is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. 
Society for Industrial
and Organizational Psychology maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Opportunities available with advance registration and additional fee:

  • 11 Preconference Workshops with 3.5 credits awarded per session attended
  • 6 Friday Seminars with 3 credits awarded per session attended

 To obtain continuing education credit for psychology purposes:

  • Individuals must attend the full session to obtain credit, as partial credit is not awarded.
  • Attendees must sign in and out at the session and complete a digital evaluation post event.
  • SIOP will issue documentation within 30 days post event verifying attendance and granting credit for those who have signed both in and out.

CE Credit for HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Purposes

SHRM Recertification Provider CP-SCP Seal 2019(1)small

SIOP is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. For more information about SHRM certification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

The 2019 SIOP Annual Conference plans to offer attendees 22.5 Professional Development Credits (PDCs). To earn the credit, simply register for and attend the full length of the conference, April 4-6, 2019. The activity ID will be provided to conference attendees in the Conference News publication onsite in Washington DC/National Harbor .

Additionally, the 2019 Preconference Workshops offer attendees 7 Professional Development Credits (Full Day) or 3.5 Professional Development Credits (Half Day). To earn the credit, register for and attend the Preconference Workshops on April 3, 2019. You will need to sign in and out on the attendance sheet(s) at the workshop(s) that you attend. The activity ID will be provided in documentation to be issued by the SIOP Administrative Office within 30 days post conference.


SIOP is an HR Certification Institute Approved Provider. For more information about certifications available through HRCI, please visit www.hrci.org.

The following sessions are approved individually for recertification credit hours toward aPHR™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™ recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®):

  • 11 Preconference Workshops: Workshop #10 is approved for Business Credit and the remaining workshops for HR General credit
  • 6 Friday Seminars HRCI has approved all of the seminars for HR General credit.

To obtain HRCI recertification credit for the sessions listed above:

  • Individuals must attend the full session to obtain credit, as partial credit is not awarded.
  • Attendees must sign in and out at the session and complete a digital evaluation post event.
  • SIOP will issue documentation within 30 days post event verifying attendance and granting credit for those who have signed both in and out.

The use of this seal confirms that this activity has met HR Certification Institute’s® (HRCI®) criteria for recertification credit pre-approval.
